This is only my second time to do the Cara Box exchange, but after this month, I’m excited to continue to participate in the exchange. I like that this month we were paired with bloggers who are the same age and at the same stage in life as we are. While I love getting to know people from different age groups and backgrounds, it’s nice to connect to someone who is going through similar experiences as you at this moment in time.
This month I was paired with two lovely ladies. The first was Lauren, who blogs over at Simply Free. Lauren lives in Alabama, which is the sister state to my native state Mississippi. She’s a newlywed, as well as a fellow Christ follower. Her blog is similar to mine in that we both blog about anything and everything, from crafts to recipes, to everyday life. Most importantly though, she blogs about what Christ teachers her and reveals to her as she navigates this life. She loves to read, which I cannot relate to, but she also likes America’s Next Top Model, one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows.
I’ve had a blast getting to know Lauren. I feel we hit it off immediately and she’s a person who I would love to keep in touch with in the future, and since we live so close, maybe schedule a blogger meet up!
Now on to my box.
Lauren did an excellent job. I told her that a special thing for my husband and I are breakfast dates, and she took that and ran with it, loading me down with goodies to enjoy a nice breakfast date at home.
She put a nice Fall spin on it as well, which I love because Fall is my favorite time of year. I can’t wait to whip up the pumpkin pancakes and drizzle them with maple syrup, all while sipping the smores coffee!
I also love that she incorporated the A in my box. I have a slowly growing “A” collection, and when I saw that beautiful A in my box, it made me so happy.
She also included some sweet treat favorites of mine, taffy and chocolate. Shamefully so, I devoured the taffy. The chocolate still remains but probably not for long.
I’m really anxious to read the book she included in my box. Unfortunately, my husband scooped it up and has been reading it, so I’ll have to wait my turn.
Thank you Lauren for doing such an amazing job! You are such a sweet person and I’m so blessed to have gotten to know you this month. I love my box!
My second partner this month was my real life best friend, Abby who blogs over at Always Abby. Now some people might have been a little disappointed by being paired with a real life friend, but not me. I was excited to be able to send my best friend a little care package. I don’t get to see her too often because we live a few hours apart, so it was nice to be able to send her a package to let her know I was thinking of her. I won’t go into details on what I sent, but you can check out her box reveal on her blog!
Have a great week!
